Pseudo City Code
What is a Pseudo City Code (PCC)?
A Pseudo City Code (PCC) is a five-character alphanumeric code used in the travel industry to identify specific agencies, travel management companies (TMCs), or corporate travel departments within a Global Distribution System (GDS). This code allows travel providers to organize and restrict access to airline seats, hotel rates, and car rental availability based on the agency’s agreements and contracts.
Travel agencies and corporations with multiple branches may have different PCCs to distinguish locations, while large organizations may consolidate bookings under a single PCC for centralized travel management. PCCs are critical for booking automation, ticketing, and securing negotiated rates for corporate clients.
By using a PCC, travel agencies can access preferred airline fares, manage client profiles, and control user access within their travel management system.
