TripGain Updates & Highlights – July 2025

This July, TripGain continues to evolve into a more intelligent, integrated, and user-first travel and expense platform. We’re introducing features that make travel bookings more flexible, improve financial clarity, and simplify policy enforcement for off-platform bookings. Whether you’re a travel admin, finance controller, or business traveller, these updates are designed to streamline your experience.
Let’s take a look at what’s new this month.
Smarter Handling of Off-Platform and Past-Dated Bookings
Problem:
Travelers booking trips outside TripGain, either through travel agency or online booking tool, leads to gaps in tracking and inconsistent policy enforcement. Manual backtracking becomes a challenge for admins.
Use Case:
A traveler booked a flight offline last week and wants to log it on TripGain for visibility. Another employee books a future trip outside TripGain and the company wants to ensure policies still apply.
Solution:
- Users can now add past-dated own-arranged trips without triggering airline policy checks. This helps maintain travel records while avoiding unnecessary alerts.
- For future-dated own-arranged trips, policy checks will be applied automatically, ensuring policy compliance even if the booking wasn’t made on TripGain.
This change enables better data consolidation and allows companies to enforce policies proactively without restricting flexibility.

Preferred Locations for Frequent Travelers (Cab Bookings)
Problem:
Employees repeatedly enter the same pickup or drop-off addresses (home, office, airport), slowing down cab bookings and increasing friction.
Use Case:
A frequent traveler books daily airport pickups from home and office. Manually entering these locations each time is inefficient.
Solution:
Employees can now save multiple preferred locations in their profile (e.g., "Home," "Office," "Airport") for faster cab bookings. These shortcuts make it quick and error-free to select common routes.
A small feature, but a huge time-saver for frequent travelers.

Add TSA PreCheck/KTN Number in Profile (USA)
Problem:
US-based travelers often need to enter their TSA PreCheck / Known Traveler Number (KTN) repeatedly to access priority airport services.
Use Case:
A frequent flyer in the US wants to ensure every flight booking includes their KTN for faster airport security and boarding.
Solution:
Users can now store their TSA PreCheck / KTN number directly in their TripGain profile. This number is automatically applied to eligible flight bookings, ensuring a seamless check-in and security experience.
Unified Ledger View for Finance Teams
Problem:
Finance Managers and Controllers struggle with fragmented transaction data across digital wallets, regions, and accounts. Confusion arises over balances and reconciliation.
Use Case:
A Finance Controller wants to have an audit trail for wallet transactions across different departments or geographies and identify one consolidated balance.
Solution:
TripGain now provides a comprehensive ledger view, accessible by Finance Managers (FM), Controllers (FC), and Approvers (FA).
Features include:
- One-click access to all debits, credits, and net balances
- Date, category, and region filters
- A single consolidated amount across accounts
No more spreadsheet chaos; just clean, transparent finance tracking.
Why These Updates Matter
- Flexibility: Log past and future trips, no matter where they were booked
- Compliance: Automatically apply travel policies to future off-platform bookings
- Convenience: Save frequently used locations and KTN numbers for effortless bookings
- Clarity: Get full financial visibility in one place with the new ledger view
- Speed: Top up your wallet in seconds, without paperwork
