Direct Flight
What is a Direct Flight?
A direct flight connects two cities under a single flight number, but it may include one or more intermediate stops. These stops can be for refueling, picking up passengers, or layovers at partner airline hubs. Passengers do not need to change flights, making the journey more convenient than connecting flights.
Unlike a non-stop flight, which travels without any breaks, a direct flight can have scheduled stops while retaining the same flight number. This sometimes leads to confusion among travelers who expect a direct flight to mean "non-stop."
For business travelers, direct flights offer a practical balance between cost and efficiency. They may take slightly longer than non-stop flights but are often cheaper and eliminate the hassle of transferring to another aircraft.
